TFN Young Alumni Raise $25,000 for Scholarship
Wednesday, April, 10th, 2024
For the third time since 2021, TFN alumni from Tufts’ ten most recent graduating classes raised $25,000 for the TFN Young Alumni Scholarship. The fund will benefit a student of demonstrated financial need who is also interested in pursuing a career in finance.
Thanks to the generosity of TFN Advisory Committee Member, Lawrence Kwon, A99, and Julie (Kim) Kwon, E98, all gifts were matched dollar-for-dollar.
The Impact
The 2023 TFN Young Alumni Scholar was Carolina Andrade, A24, from Quito, Ecuador. Majoring in economics and international relations, and minoring in finance, Carolina is studying finance to help analyze and allocate resources efficiently to promote equality and economic growth.
“Thanks to the TFN Young Alumni Scholarship, my goals are within reach without having to worry about financing. This scholarship is representative of the support and community that Tufts offers, which I strive to continue after graduating,” said Carolina.
Carolina will graduate in May with a full-time analyst position in the Public Finance group at Wells Fargo in New York City. She previously interned for Wells Fargo, rotating between the Eastern and Transportation groups. In the long-term, she hopes to get her master’s degree and to continue working in the banking industry with a focus on development in Latin America.
